You must also apply for the visa through customs in the first country you want to enter with the visa. This could be Uganda, Kenya, or Rwanda.

Visa requirements for Kenya

After a presidential order in January 2024, tourists going to Kenya for Kenya hiking tours or any other business will not need to apply for visas. Instead, they will need to apply for an electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before they go.

Some people will not have to apply for the ETA. These people include people with valid Kenya passports, work permits, passes, or permanent residence in Kenya, as well as people who work for diplomatic missions or international groups that are recognized by Kenya.
