Your journey begins at 9:00 am with a scenic drive towards Andasibe. Our first stop is the exotic Peyrieras Reserve, a treasure trove of Madagascar's unique wildlife—chameleons, lizards, frogs, snakes, butterflies, and the graceful Sifaka lemurs await. You'll also spot other lemur species, including the Indri and the iconic Ring-tailed lemur. From there, we continue to Andasibe, a world-famous haven for lemurs. In the afternoon, we'll explore Vakona Reserve, where more wildlife encounters await. As the sun sets, the forest transforms, and we'll set out on a night tour to discover nocturnal lemurs and other creatures that emerge after dark. Overnight in Andasibe.
Your second day is all about discovery, with a full day of exploration in the Andasibe region. The morning takes you into Andasibe–Mantadia National Park, where guided walks lead you through lush rainforest and primary jungle. As you trek, you'll encounter more lemur species, discover fascinating plant life, and stumble upon scenic waterfalls hidden within the forest. In the afternoon, you'll visit VOI.MMA Park, a community-managed reserve that packs an incredible amount of biodiversity into a smaller area. Home to lemurs, amphibians, reptiles, and a wide variety of birds, this reserve showcases the remarkable wildlife richness of Andasibe. Together, these protected areas offer a deep and unforgettable understanding of Madagascar's unique ecosystems. Overnight in Andasibe.
After breakfast, your journey takes you to Andasibe Analamazoatra National Park, a dense, humid forest draped in lichens, moss, ferns, and over a hundred orchid species. This is the heart of lemur country—home to the indri-indri, the largest lemur of all, along with diademed sifakas, common brown lemurs, bamboo lemurs, and sportive lemurs. The forest is equally rich in plant life, with pandanus, ravinala palms, tambourissa, bamboos, and precious hardwoods like palisander and ebony. Over 100 bird species—including the endemic Madagascar yellow-browed—and 15 mammal species complete this extraordinary ecosystem. After a morning of discovery, you'll stop for lunch before beginning the road back to Antananarivo. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Your final day in Madagascar begins with breakfast at the hotel. After a leisurely morning, you'll be transferred to Antananarivo Airport for your flight home. If time permits, you might squeeze in a last-minute visit to a local market or simply enjoy the views of the capital one final time. As you board your plane, you'll carry with you the memories of lemurs, rainforests, and the warm hospitality of Madagascar. Safe travels!
