Itinary in details

  • Day1
    For the early risers, we offer a sunrise excursion to the Avenue of the Baobabs—departure at 4:00 am to witness the iconic trees bathed in the first light of day. After this magical experience, you'll return to the hotel for breakfast (available on request).
     
    At 7:00 am, your adventure truly begins. We'll meet you at your hotel and set off on a thrilling two-hour off-road drive to the Tsingy of Bemaraha. The journey takes you to the Tsiribihina River, where a ferry boat carries you across to Belo Town. Lunch awaits at the popular "Mad Zebu" restaurant, serving delicious local cuisine. Refreshed, you'll continue with a three-hour drive to the Manambolo River, where a second ferry completes your transfer to the hotel. After settling in, your guide will brief you on the hotel's amenities and tomorrow's itinerary. The evening is yours to relax and soak in the surroundings.

  • Day2
    Your day begins early at 6:30 AM with a drive to the riverbank, where you'll board a canoe for a peaceful 1.5-hour excursion along the Manambolo River Gorge. Drift past dramatic stalactite rock formations, mysterious caves, and riverine birds, while keeping an eye out for crocodiles and the ancient Sakalava ancestor tombs carved into the cliffs.
     
    After the canoe ride, the adventure continues with a visit to Big Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park, just an hour's drive away. You'll climb the iconic cathedral rock—a limestone formation offering a spectacular viewpoint for photographs. Cross the hanging bridge and search for the Sifaka lemur and Common brown lemur among the unique karst landscape. As the afternoon fades, you'll have the option to visit the Small Tsingy for a breathtaking sunset over the Manambolo River gorge, painting the sky in vibrant hues.

  • Day3
    Your journey continues at 7:00 AM as you retrace the road back to Belo Town, where a delicious lunch awaits. After refuelling, you'll cross the Tsiribihina River by ferry, entering the unique ecosystem of Kirindy Forest Park. Check in at your hotel, and prepare for an extraordinary evening.
     
    At 6:00 PM, as darkness falls, you'll set out on a night safari through the dry, spiny forest. This is your best chance to spot the fossa—Madagascar's largest predator—along with sportive lemurs, fork-marked lemurs, and the tiny mouse lemur, the smallest primate in the world. The forest comes alive after dark, and every rustle could reveal something extraordinary.

  • Day4

    Your final day begins at 7:00 AM with a return to Kirindy Forest, accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide. This time, you'll explore the forest in daylight, searching for the red-fronted lemur and the charismatic Verreaux's sifaka—affectionately known as the "dancing lemur" for its graceful leaping. The forest is also alive with native birds and stunning flora. After a delightful lunch, you'll return to the hotel to freshen up before a leisurely afternoon drive to the Avenue of the Baobabs. Along the way, you'll stop at the famous "Baobab Sacred and in Love," before arriving at the iconic avenue just in time for sunset—a truly magical experience. You'll continue to your hotel in Morondava, where our services conclude.
