Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a habitat to 360 bird species inclusive of 23 out 24 Albertine Rift endemics, Bwindi is also a home to the Shelley’s Crimsonwing and African Green Broadbill which are globally threatened. Other Albertine Rift endemics include; Sassi’s Olive Greenbul, Dusky Crimson-wing, Oberlander’s/Forest Ground Thrush Strange Weaver, Rwenzori Nightjar, Rwenzori Double-collared Sunbird, Purple-breasted Sunbird, Regal Sunbird, Blue-headed Sunbird, Rwenzori Batis, Red-faced Woodland Warbler, Short-tailed/Neumann’s Warbler, Yellow-eyed Black Flycatcher, Grauer’s Warbler, Grauer’s Rush Warbler, Montane Masked Apalis, Kivu Ground Thrush, Collared Apalis, Red-throated Alethe, Stripe-breasted Tit, Rwenzori Turaco, Handsome Francolin.
