Welcome to Madagascar! Our team will greet you at Ivato Airport and transfer you to your hotel. On the way, we'll share a brief overview of your adventure and answer any questions. Let the journey begin!
After breakfast, we'll drive east to Andasibe. Stop at Peyrieras Reserve for reptiles and lemurs. Continue to Andasibe, check in, and prepare for a night tour—nocturnal lemurs, frogs, and chameleons await.
Early in the morning, visit the Analamazaotra Reserve to hear the haunting calls of the Indri echoing through the forest. Your local guide will help you spot lemurs, endemic birds, and fascinating flora. After lunch, explore the Mitsinjo community reserve, managed by local conservationists. It’s an inspiring example of ecotourism supporting reforestation and wildlife protection. Return to your lodge for dinner and rest.
Drive to Mantadia National Park for a full-day visit—primary forest, wildlife, plants, and waterfalls. Return to your hotel for the night.
Today, we will continue our journey towards the Palmarium Reserve on National Road 2. When we arrive in Manambato, we will travel to the reserve by boat on the Pangalanes Canal. Tonight, we are going to see the famous aye-aye from Madagascar. This nocturnal lemur has large eyes, prominent ears, and a long middle finger that it uses to tap on trees and find insects beneath the bark.
Meet several species of lemurs, including the famous aye-aye and other adorable species like the crowned lemur. You will explore the trails through the lush vegetation. Enjoy the beauty of the surrounding lakes, perfect for a relaxing stroll. Meet local artisans and discover the region's traditions. Admire the diversity of endemic birds that inhabit the reserve.
Today, we will take the boat from our hotel to Manambato, where our driver will wait to drive us back to the capital, Antananarivo. On the way, you will again enjoy the beautiful scenery of this part of Madagascar. Once we arrive, we will check in at your hotel for the night.
Today, depending on the time of your international flight, we will visit the Queen's Palace to learn a bit about Madagascar's history and monarchy. If we still have time, we will visit the handicraft market, where you can buy some souvenirs to take home. We will take you to Ivato International Airport two hours before your departure.
