This is a 7-Days Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe and Chobe National Park Tour, Botswana to explore the majesty of Africa’s most iconic landscapes. The sheer noise of the Falls as they cascade over the edge into the deep gorge is deafening, and the misty clouds of spray, occasionally broken by rainbows hence its local name, Mosi-Oa-Tunya, "the smoke that thunders". Chobe National Park is known for its huge herds of elephants will appeal to the intrepid traveler, providing close encounters with crocodiles, hippos and a host to other wildlife. Hwange National Park is the largest Park in Zimbabwe occupying roughly 14 650 square kilometers. It is located in the northwest corner of the country about one hour south of the Mighty Victoria Falls.

Itinary in details

  • Day1

    Upon arrival at the Victoria Falls International Airport you will be met by our company representative and you will be transferred to the lodge. After relaxing at the hotel later at around 15:00hrs you will be transferred and finish your day with a spectacular sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.

  • Day2

    After breakfast we enjoy a walking tour of the Victoria Falls. You will stop at various vantage points to view the falls and walk through the rainforest whilst witnessing the rainbows and feeling the spray and thundering noise of water falling into the gorge. The rest of your afternoon will be spent at leisure where you can book one of many optional activities with your guide or you can decide to go for a Village tour.

  • Day3

    After early morning breakfast we will drive from Victoria Falls and pass through the Botswana border so as to do all immigration formalities then head to Chobe National Park for the wildlife safaris and boat cruise along the river. This morning in Chobe National Park, you will go on a guided game drive looking for wildlife and learning all about them from your professional guide. You can look forward to a world-class wildlife experience in Chobe Riverfront, close to Kasane, which is a wonderful place to see big elephants, big cats, hippos and plenty of action as wildlife comes down to drink by the riverbank.

    In the afternoon after having some lunch, you will go for a Boat Trip, Chobe National Park. The chance of seeing wildlife on the islands and riverbanks is very high as is the likelihood of seeing large numbers of bird species, elephants, buffalos, giraffes and hippos are common sightings with sable, leopard and numerous antelope also being regulars on guests check lists. After the boat trip, we will drive back to the lodge for an overnight.

  • Day4

    After breakfast, head off on an early morning game drive. This time of day is best for finding the big cats or wild dogs as they are still active at this time and the chances of seeing them are good. Return to the lodge for a delicious “bush brunch” and an opportunity to read, rest or take a refreshing shower. When the day starts to cool off, another afternoon game drive follows, and good sightings are revisited or areas as yet unexplored are visited. Return to lodge after sunset for an overnight. Dinner follows, as always, accompanied by the unforgettable sounds of the African night.

  • Day5

    After breakfast, we will drive from Lodge to Hwange National Park passing through the villages and Hwange town. Check in at the Ivory Lodge and we are prepared for the late afternoon game drive in the Hwange National Park. Hwange National Park is the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe. The park lies in the west, on the main road between Bulawayo and the widely noted Victoria Falls and stretches more than 14 000sq km. Experience the sundowner in nature and finish the day with dinner at the lodge.

  • Day6

    Early morning game drives in the Hwange national park. Tea and coffee is served before the game drive or during the game drive. After game drive at around 9:30am to 10am you will have your full breakfast. It is the best time to see the big cats like lions, leopard and cheater. Late in the afternoon you will embark on afternoon game drive.

  • Day7

    On this last day of our tour you get to enjoy breakfast before checking out and being transferred to the Victoria Falls International Airport, Zimbabwe for your flight back home.
