When you arrive in Johannesburg, you'll board a domestic flight to Richard's Bay, where you'll meet a Dav safaris representative. Who will transport you to your Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park luxury safari lodge lodging? You'll be given a cool beverage and a quick tour of the lodge before being brought to your opulent lodging. Rest in your room and, if you have time, embark on your first safari. After you get back to the resort, savor a great dinner.
Enjoy game rides in open 4x4 vehicles as scheduled (morning and evening). The oldest game reserve in Southern Africa, Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park is home to the big five as well as other creatures like cheetahs, wild dogs, and nyalas. With 340 different bird species living there, the park is a top spot for bird watching. You can take a guided walk in the big five territory or other conservation areas between gravies with your safari guide. To discover more about the Zulu people and their way of life, you can choose to participate in an optional activity that involves cultural trips to the nearby Mpembeni community.
After breakfast, you will be taken to the Elephant Coast from Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park. This is a very lovely spot with calm coves, swimming and snorkeling reefs, thick coastal forests, breathtaking freshwater lakes, golden sand dunes, and an unending stretch of unspoiled beach. You can partake in nearby excursions or adventurous pursuits throughout the course of the following few days, or you can choose to unwind and take in the peace and quiet of this spotless, sandy beach. If early morning kayaking doesn't appeal to you, you may enjoy sundowners on the beaches of Lake Sibaya later in the day. You may choose to join an early morning guided kayaking tour at Lake Sibaya (Southern Africa's freshwater lake), where you're likely to spot hippos and crocodiles. You will get the chance to take part in a turtle-hatching safari if you go during the summer (October to March) and watch as hundreds of young leatherback and loggerhead turtles crawl from the sand beaches to the water's edge.
For your domestic trip to Johannesburg, our representative will transfer you to the small airport at Richard's Bay. You then take a further international flight back to your home country.
