- Day1Antananarivo
Welcome to Madagascar! Upon landing at Ivato Airport, your local guide will greet you. On the drive to your hotel, spot a newly transplanted baobab—a welcoming glimpse of the island's natural beauty. As you pass through Tsarasaotra, take in the vibrant energy of Antananarivo. The drive takes about an hour, depending on traffic.
- Day2Antananarivo - Amborodia - Morondava
Your day begins early with a transfer to Antananarivo's airport for a private charter flight to Amborodia (1 hour 30 minutes). A private 4WD takes you to Tsingy de Bemaraha for a 4-hour trek on the Andamozavaky trail. After exploring, fly to Morondava for sunset at the iconic Baobab Alley—the site of Lonely Planet's most famous Madagascar photo. A day of adventure and iconic views.
- Day3Morondava to Antananarivo
Your day begins with breakfast, followed by a private charter flight to Antananarivo. This afternoon, visit the Tsarasaotra ornithologist center to spot endemic bird species found only in Madagascar.
- Day4Antananarivo to Anjanjavy
Your day begins with a shared private charter flight to Anjajavy. Explore the private reserve's cave network—glowing flowstones, stalactites, and stalagmites. Spot two bat species with luck. A guided excursion (1.5 hours, easy rocky paths, 300 m slope) included.
- Day5Anjanjavy Reserve
Today's activities focus on wildlife viewing along the "Crab Path Walk." Follow the path lined with baobabs and tsingy walls through mangrove swamps where hairy crabs live. Inside a chaos of rocks, at the foot of a tsingy wall, is the entrance to a fossil cave. Descend a 5-meter ladder to find subfossils of extinct giant lemurs (Paleopropithecus kelyus). The western sheath-tailed bat is often observed. Distance: 1.5 km. Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours. Difficulties: 5m ladder, slippery slopes, warm/humid cave. Guidance included (grouped excursion, 8 per group). Equipment: walking shoes, long pants, mosquito repellent, flashlight. Note: Cave closed during rainy season.
- Day6Anjajavy Reserve
Walk the Cove-to-Cove path—cliffs, forest, and deserted beaches. Spot the rare Madagascar fish eagle. Return via mangrove or Cove III loop. Snorkel if conditions permit. A 5 km, 2.5–3 hour adventure. Self-guided, with a guide required for Kinga village.
- Day7Anjajavy to Antananarivo
Enjoy a final morning at Anjajavy before your private charter flight to Antananarivo (9:30–11:00 AM). Upon arrival, we'll transfer you to your hotel or the international airport. Our service ends here—farewell, Madagascar.
