When you arrive in South Africa's wildlife-rich Lowveld, you will be greeted by one of our local drivers and taken on your first game drive on your way to your lodge. Have your camera close by since they will pause if any wildlife is spotted along the way. You may look forward to excellent animal watching in this "Big Five" reserve that borders Kruger National Park today afternoon and over the next two days. One of South Africa's biggest privately held reserves, the 600km2 (230mi2) Klaserie Private Nature Reserve borders the national park without fences. Animals freely migratory between Klaserie and Kruger National Park create an exceptional biosphere and one of Africa's top safari destinations in one of the Greater Kruger's most unspoiled and pristine wilderness sections.
You will leave early in the morning for the famous Kruger National Park, which is set on the banks of the seasonal Ntsiri River. While at Senalala, you can anticipate a ton of high-quality wildlife viewing opportunities because the camp itself looks out onto a drinking hole that attracts a steady stream of wildlife. Every morning and evening, an expert ranger and his team of guides lead a game viewing excursion in quest of sightings that will provide visitors to this remote area the amazing experience they are hoping for. The bird watching is excellent, and the "Big Five" are frequently seen. A game drive or a bush walk is available to tourists. Those who are 16 years of age or older might pick the latter to enjoy the minute details of nature that aren't usually visible from a vehicle.
Your private transfer to your serene camp on the banks of the powerful Zambezi River is now being handled by our driver while you are being taken to the Kruger-Mpumalanga Nelspruit Airport for your flight to Livingstone, Zambia. Here, our local guide, will meet you after your arrival.
You leave early this morning to go on a Rhino Walking Safari at the adjacent Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, where you may see the sole remaining population of white rhinos in all of Zambia. Lunch with the local herd is then served at the Elephant Café. Once at the bridge/border with Zimbabwe, where you disembark and have a free guided tour of the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls, Mortimer takes you by boat down the Zambezi to the village of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The Elephant Café, which supports a herd of ten rescued elephants, combines three distinct experiences: a close contact with the world's largest land animal, gourmet eating in a luxurious environment, and an adventurous boat excursion down the Zambezi River.
We are glad to offer you a complimentary guided tour of the Victoria Falls this morning. Before your safari guide delivers you to Victoria Falls Airport for your onward travel plans, you can choose to take a beautiful helicopter trip (additional fee; see page 12 of our "Victoria Falls Activity Booklet") to see a bird's-eye perspective of the falls. If your flight departs from Livingstone Airport, you can also be taken back there.
