5-Day Tsingy and Baobab Expedition

You'll have an early departure from Morondava for a full-day drive with stops for photos on the way to Bekopaka. You will visit the Twin Baobab and experience sunrise at the Avenue of the Baobabs, then cross by ferry at Belo-sur-Tsiribihina (approximately 45 minutes). You'll have a lunch stop in Belo-sur-Tsiribihina, recommended at "Le Madzebu," one of the best restaurants in Madagascar. After lunch, you will continue with approximately 4 hours of off-road track to Bekopaka. You'll cross by ferry at Bekopaka (approximately 15 minutes). Your arrival in Bekopaka will be around 6:30 PM.

Your adventure begins early with a 6:30 AM departure from the hotel, followed by a one-hour drive to the Big Tsingy parking area. (Remember to order a picnic lunch at the hotel the day before.) The Big Tsingy offers three main circuits, each with its own unique features and biodiversity. From hiking trails and forest canyons to suspension bridges, viewpoints, limestone cracks, and hidden underground caves, every step reveals something new. After a morning of exploration, return to the hotel. In the afternoon, a 2-hour visit to the Small Tsingy awaits, with its forest canyon, diaclase, viewpoints, and the fascinating Pachypodium garden.

You will depart from the hotel around 7:00 AM for a traditional canoe trip in the Manambolo Gorges (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, morning only), where you will see caves, Vazimba tombs, and birds. You will then continue to Belo-sur-Tsiribihina, with a lunch stop recommended at "Madzebu." After a 45-minute ferry crossing at Belo-sur-Tsiribihina, you will arrive in Kirindy around 3:30 PM. Around 5:30 PM, you will have a 2-hour night walk in Kirindy Reserve to observe nocturnal lemurs and other wildlife species. You will return to the lodge for dinner.

Your departure will be at 7:30 AM for a 2-hour daytime visit in Kirindy Forest to observe diurnal lemurs, birds, reptiles, and possibly the Fosa, one of Madagascar's largest carnivores and the main predator of lemurs. You will return to the lodge after the visit, then visit the Sacred Baobab and Kirindy village for an immersion into local life. Lunch at the lodge will be followed by the drive back to Morondava. On the way, you will discover the three baobab species found in the Menabe region. In the late afternoon, enjoy sunset at the Avenue of the Baobabs, an unforgettable golden moment among the giant trees. Your arrival in Morondava will be around 7:30 PM, with incredible memories and photos.

Your final morning begins with breakfast at the hotel. Depending on your departure time, you'll have free time to relax, explore Morondava a little more, or simply soak in the last moments of your Madagascar adventure. This marks the end of our services, though airport transfers and additional nights can be arranged upon request (extra cost).
