Your Madagascar adventure begins the moment you land. Our representative will be at the airport, holding a sign with your name, ready to welcome you. After a warm greeting, we'll drive you to your hotel in Antananarivo, where we'll gather for a special briefing about the journey ahead. This is your chance to ask questions, learn about the experiences waiting for you, and get excited about the incredible days to come.
Your day begins with breakfast, followed by a city tour of Antananarivo. Explore the vibrant market and the historic Queen's Palace, where you'll uncover the rich history of Madagascar. Then, the journey continues east to Andasibe, with scenic views of mountains, landscapes, and traditional villages along the way—with a lunch stop to refresh. Upon arrival in Andasibe, you'll check into your hotel and prepare for an evening adventure: a night walk to spot nocturnal lemurs, frogs, and chameleons under the stars.
After breakfast, journey to Andasibe Mantadia National Park—a world of towering orchids and poinsettias that thrive in the damp, temperate climate. The park's Sacred Waterfall and natural pools offer a refreshing break for hikers. After a day of exploration, you'll drive back to your hotel for a restful night.
Today is a full immersion into Madagascar's extraordinary wildlife. Explore Andasibe Analamazoatra National Park, a dense, humid forest draped in lichens, moss, ferns, and over a hundred orchid species. This is lemur country—home to the indri-indri, the largest lemur of all, alongside diademed sifakas, brown lemurs, bamboo lemurs, and sportive lemurs. The forest is equally rich in plant life, with pandanus, ravinala palms, tambourissa, bamboos, and precious hardwoods like palisander and ebony. With 15 mammal species and over 100 birds—including the endemic Madagascar yellow-browed—every moment is a discovery. In the afternoon, visit Vakona Reserve to interact with lemurs, observe crocodiles, and spot whistling ducks, kingfishers, and other birds.
Your final morning begins with breakfast, followed by a scenic drive back to Antananarivo through the highlands. Take in the rolling hills, terraced fields, and rural villages one last time, learning about the daily life of the Malagasy people. A lunch stop breaks the journey before you continue to the airport, arriving 2 hours before your flight.
