Itinary in details

  • Day1

    On the first day, trekkers gather at the Machame Gate, where permits are checked, and the climb begins. The trail winds through a dense rainforest, filled with the sounds of birds and the rustling of leaves. As the group ascends, the path becomes steeper, requiring focus and stamina. Lush vegetation surrounds trekkers, with towering trees and colorful flowers creating a vibrant atmosphere. After several hours of hiking, the team arrives at Machame Camp. Here, tents are set up, and a hearty meal awaits. Campfire conversations foster bonding among climbers, sharing stories and encouraging one another. As night falls, the group reflects on the day’s accomplishments, preparing for the challenges ahead.

  • Day2

    The second day begins with a hearty breakfast as climbers prepare for a longer trek. Leaving Machame Camp, the trail leads upward through moorland, where unique flora such as giant heathers and lobelias become more prominent. The ascent continues to a ridge, offering glimpses of the Shira Plateau and the towering summit in the distance. The terrain changes, with rocky paths and expansive views that motivate trekkers to push forward. Upon reaching Shira Camp, located at an elevation of 3,840 meters, trekkers set up their tents and enjoy a warm meal. As dusk settles, the group enjoys the clear night sky, filled with stars, and reflects on the journey thus far.

  • Day3

    Day three involves a significant change in elevation as trekkers head towards Barranco Camp. After breakfast, the group sets out, passing through the Shira Plateau and continuing to the Lava Tower. The landscape becomes more rugged, with volcanic rock formations adding to the scenery. The ascent to Lava Tower serves as an acclimatization opportunity, allowing climbers to adjust to higher altitudes. After a break, the descent to Barranco Camp begins, where the iconic Barranco Wall looms ahead. Setting up camp at 3,960 meters, the evening is filled with laughter and anticipation. Climbers share experiences, strengthening their bonds before the final push to the summit.

    The final day starts early, with climbers gearing up for the summit attempt. After a warm breakfast, the group tackles Barranco Wall, a steep scramble that tests their skills. The sunrise paints the sky in beautiful colors, lifting spirits as they ascend. Following the wall, the trail leads through alpine desert, where the air becomes thinner. Climbers push onward, motivated by the goal. After several hours of challenging hiking, the group reaches Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro. Celebrations erupt as climbers embrace their achievement, taking in the stunning views. The descent begins, filled with a sense of accomplishment, camaraderie, and cherished memories from the climb.
