- Day1Arrival in Tanzania and Transfer to Mahale National Park
You will arrive at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, and again fly to Kigoma airstrip where your guide will meet your guide. After a brief orientation, you will be either transferred by boat via the pristine lake Tanganyika, which takes about 30 minutes to the park or decide to go by road, a long distance of about 220km by road to Mahale National Park. Upon arrival, you will transfer to your lodge to check in and unwind. Enjoy lunch, followed by a guided nature walk or relaxation by Lake Tanganyika. After dinner, you will spend the night at the lodge, preparing for your nest day chimpanzee adventure which lasts for one hour to 6 hours trek in the forest.
- Day2Chimpanzee Tracking and Wildlife Exploration
On day 2 , you will wake up early for morning breakfast and after head out for an exciting day of chimpanzee tracking with your packed lunch. Accompanied by experienced guides, you will trek through the lush forest in search of the park's resident chimpanzee troops. This thrilling experience will offer you the chance to observe these intelligent primates in their natural habitat. After your tracking adventure, you will return to the lodge in the evening and you may choose to relax by the lake or partake in additional activities like snorkeling or fishing. In the evening, you will enjoy a sunset boat cruise on Lake Tanganyika, followed by dinner at your lodge.
- Day3Morning Activities and Departure
