Pilanesberg National Park is one of the most popular wildlife locations in the world. It is South Africa's fourth-largest national park and home to Africa's famous Big Five. For the ultimate safari, we advise 2 days in place of Kruger. A private journey from Johannesburg or Pretoria, narrated wildlife drives, 3- and 4-star lodging, supper, and breakfast are all included in the package. The region rises suddenly in the shape of hills 300–600 meters (980–1,970 feet) above the surrounding plains. It is located in the root zone of an extinct volcano and is characterized by alternating ridges and valleys that form concentric rings.[2] The Pilanesberg is named after Kgafêla chief Pilane[3], who ruled from Bogopane, Mmamodimokwana, and ultimately Mmasebudule in the 1800s.
Pilanesberg National Park Safari
This morning, we will pick you up from your hotel or any given address in Pretoria or Johannesburg and drive you to Pilanesberg National Park. We will reach the park after a roughly two-hour trip. Our first and most friendly game drive is conducted in a closed or private vehicle and lasts up to 4 hours. We will check at your Resort about lunchtime following our first game drive. A sunset game drive in an open safari vehicle comes after lunch and some downtime. The 3- to 4-hour sunset game drive ends at dusk. Dinner is included, as well as the conservation charge.
On the park's final day, we will have another chance to explore Pilanesberg from an open safari vehicle. Three to four hours are spent on the morning game drive. After that, we will go back to the resort to get ready for the journey back to Pretoria or Johannesburg. For an additional fee, we can stop at Sun City Resort, Lion & Safari Park, Lesedi Cultural Village, or the aerial cableway on the way back. If you are interested in learning more about the optional activities, we suggest asking your tour guide about them.
