- Day2Andasibe Village Day Trip from Antananarivo
Your driver will meet you at your hotel or the airport for a scenic 4-hour drive through the highlands to Andasibe village. Upon arrival, you'll head straight to Andasibe Lemurs Lodge, where you'll visit the private island sanctuary for an up-close encounter with lemurs and the opportunity to interact with these playful primates. After checking in at your lodge, you'll visit the Vakona Forest Lodge private reserve in the afternoon, where you can observe several lemur species up close and even take selfies with them. You'll also have time to explore the local village of Andasibe. At 6:30 PM, embark on a guided night walk at the community park to discover Madagascar's fascinating nocturnal wildlife, including small lemurs and endemic reptiles.
- Day2Visit Analamazaotra National Park: A Day from Antananarivo
Your day begins at 7:00 AM with a guided walk in Analamazaotra National Park. You'll be driven to the park entrance, where a knowledgeable local guide (fluent in your language) will lead you through the lush, humid forest, sharing fascinating insights about the park's unique ecosystem and Madagascar's incredible biodiversity. You'll have the chance to spot the largest lemur, the Indri-indri (babakoto), along with a variety of endemic plants and bird species. After a delightful lunch in Andasibe, you'll head back along National Road N°2 toward Antananarivo, with a stop at Madagascar Exotic, a private reserve dedicated to preserving many species of reptiles and chameleons. You'll arrive in Antananarivo in the afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, depending on your plans.
