10-Days Kilimanjaro climb via Northern Circuits Route

The 10-days Northern Circuit Route to Kilimanjaro is an incredible journey that offers breathtaking views and a less crowded ascent to Africa's highest peak. The adventure begins in Moshi, where climbers acclimatize and prepare for the trek. From there, the route takes you to Londorossi Gate (2,100 m) for registration before trekking through lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,750 m). As you progress, you’ll hike to Shira 1 Camp (3,500 m) and Shira 2 Camp (3,850 m), taking in stunning panoramas and unique flora. The trek to Lava Tower (4,600 m) serves as an acclimatization stop before descending to Barranco Camp (3,960 m), where climbers tackle the challenging Barranco Wall the following day.


After reaching Karanga Camp (4,000 m) and Barafu Camp (4,600 m), climbers prepare for the summit attempt. The ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) typically begins around midnight, allowing for a breathtaking sunrise at the summit. Following the triumphant climb, trekkers descend to Mweka Camp (3,100 m) and ultimately to Mweka Gate (1,640 m), where they celebrate their achievement.     After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the Londorossi Gate, located at 2,100 meters. Here, your team will complete registration and paperwork before starting the trek. The trail leads you through lush rainforest filled with diverse flora and fauna, including unique bird species. As you ascend to Mti Mkubwa Camp at 2,750 meters, take in the sounds of nature and the fresh mountain air. This segment lasts about 3-4 hours, allowing you to adjust to the altitude gradually. This camp is an excellent spot for acclimatization and provides stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Once you arrive, take time to rest and hydrate. After celebrating at the summit, begin your descent to Mweka Camp at 3,100 meters. This descent allows for better acclimatization after the high altitude.
