Itinary in details

  • Day1
    Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport you will be met by our safari guide who will transfer you to Kampala to a hotel booked for you. In case you have had an early flight to Uganda, you will be taken on a brief visit to a cultural site within the city and the details of the Uganda cultural tour will be briefed to the travelers at the hotel where you’ll spend the night.

  • Day2
    You start off with a visit to Buganda Kingdom. Uganda’s Monarchies present a rich cultural heritage that Uganda proudly boasts over other safari destinations in Africa. From here you proceed to visit the Martyrs Shrines at Namugongo, a historical site where 22 Martyrs were set ablaze on the orders of a Buganda King for refusal to renounce Christianity. The cultural tour in Kampala will conclude with a visit to the Uganda National Museum to see the ethnological and natural-historical exhibitions that represent the country’s colourful past. And if it’s a Friday, Saturday or Sunday you have the opportunity in the evening to experience a unique cultural entertainment of the main cultures of Uganda at the famous Ndere Cultural Centre.

  • Day3
    We drive Northwards via Gulu to the land of the pastoralist Karamojong natives, arriving in the evening. The journey will take 9-10 hours through a dusty and bumpy road. This land also boasts of Kidepo Valley National Park, which is Uganda’s second biggest National Park but rarely visited because of its remote distant location.

  • Day4
    Today you will explore the Kidepo valley to see the abundant wildlife that assembles in the river bed to access water. Baboons will be seen roaming along the floor of Kidepo River and under the palm trees.

  • Day5
    You will be taken on a guided cultural village tour where you will learn about the nomadic lifestyle of the people around Karenga and Kidepo. During this cultural tour you will visit the Karamajong homesteads (manyattas) and see the kraals of cattle, the traditional costumes, stools, spears, headdress, knives, bows and arrows, jewelry, grinding stones and utensils all made locally by the natives. In the evening you will be taken for a sunset game drive to explore more of Kidepo.

  • Day6
    We drive back to Kampala using the Northern route via Karuma Falls arriving in the evening for your departure flight the following day.
