Itinary in details

  • Day1
    On this day, your assigned driver guide will pick you up from your designated address in Entebbe or Kigali and proceed to Mgahinga National Park located southwest of Uganda via magnificent and beautiful terraced hills with views of a clear picture of the landscape and altitude of the countryside. You will have a relaxed evening at the lodge as you get prepared for the next day’s adventure, with dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

  • Day2
    On this day, have an early morning breakfast and drive to the park offices for the briefing, there start the golden monkey tracking in the forest. This activity starts at 7 am at the Park headquarters where you will head to the forest with other tourists in search of the endangered Golden monkey. This takes about 4 hours or more of the Golden monkey tracking adventure inclusive of one hour stay near to them where you view them rolling on the Bamboo stems and present themselves with no shyness as it has been worked on through habituation and see the sights of their silver patch. From there you will transfer to the Gorilla land which is Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park in Uganda. The road trip takes you through the beautiful kigezi land with dinner and overnight at the lodge.

  • Day3
    Have an early morning breakfast and have a short drive to the briefing point. Enjoy the biggest highlight of this tour, Gorilla trekking may last for about 3 to 6 hours depending on the gorilla family you’re assigned to visit. You will trek through the rainforest and bamboo-covered slopes, escorted by Uganda Wildlife Authority guide and other guest trackers, on the lookout for the mountain gorilla family. The trekking can sometimes be hard and long, as soon as you catch a glimpse of the beautiful silverback, any discomforts will be forgotten. As a result of the nature of the activity, you will eat packed lunch in the forest. After mountain Gorilla trekking, you will embark on the drive through the terraced hills to Lake Bunyonyi. Alongside canoeing, there is a lot of optional activities like swimming hiking highland trails along the lake shores, nature walks, and have a chance to associate with the local people with small resident and exotic bird species singing. Your dinner and overnight at the lodge.

  • Day4
    After breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a guided canoe ride. You will later get set for a border crossing journey to Rwanda. You will transfer to Kigali city with the memory of the great rare mountain Apes. Lunch en route, arriving late in the evening to be dropped at your hotel/airport as you say farewell to the pearl of Africa.
